The other day I was researching Florida Golf Schools for my travel and retirement website enjoy-englewood-florida.com. I discovered many other great golf schools around the country. The first golf school to be featured here is the Bird Golf Academy.

The Bird Golf Academy’s marketing information promises “The ultimate golf learning experience.” The golf school’s claim is based upon the fact that they provide a personalized teaching experience with a student/teacher ratio of 1:1 or 2:1. This low student/teacher ratio enables the Bird Golf Academy to adapt the program to the specific needs of the students in each group. To achieve a successful golf learning experience each golf student is interviewed about their golfing history and their goals. This interview along with a player profile is used to develop a personalized golf instruction and golf practice plan. The Bird Golf Academy is able to provide such golf instruction because of the vast golfing experience of their instructors. The total years of golf teaching experience of their professional teaching staff is an impressive 250. The golf credentials of some of the lead teaching staff is impressive.
The three to five day golf packages provide the golfer with an opportunity to build a foundation for their game and to develop a model which they can take home and practice on their own. Video analysis, on course playing lessons each day, instruction on developing the mental side of the game of golf, and course management are part of each golf learning package. The basis of the thought process promoted by the Academy is “What to think on the golf course and how not to think it”. The packages also include “unlimited use of the practice facilities and the golf courses.
The Bird Golf Academy sees itself as more than simply a golf school. Instead, it encourages its students to view it as a golf coaching service. The aim of the Academy is to have its golf students develop a long-term coaching relationship with one of its professional golf instructors. Golf students are encouraged to schedule a 1-2 day follow-up session with their instructor.
The Bird Golf Academy offers its golf students the opportunity to maintain a long term relationship with their golf coaches through the use of their remote coaching program. This is facilitated through the use of digital photography and teleconferences.
